Welcome to MedFL Transport. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our non-emergency medical transportation services and website. By booking or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Our Services

MedFL Transport provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for individuals who require reliable transportation to healthcare appointments, rehabilitation centers, dialysis treatments, assisted living communities, healthcare facilities, and other approved destinations.

Our services may include:

  • Wheelchair-accessible transportation
  • Ambulatory passenger transportation
  • Hospital discharge transportation
  • Dialysis transportation
  • Rehabilitation transportation
  • Assisted living transportation
  • Facility-to-facility transportation
  • Long-distance medical transportation
  • Recurring and scheduled transportation

Our transportation services are intended for non-emergency situations and are not a substitute for ambulance or emergency medical services.

2. Booking and Scheduling

Transportation should be scheduled in advance whenever possible. When making a reservation, passengers or authorized representatives may be asked to provide:

  • Passenger name and contact information
  • Pickup and destination addresses
  • Appointment date and time
  • Mobility requirements
  • Wheelchair or mobility-device information
  • Facility or caregiver contact information
  • Special transportation requirements

Passengers and facilities are responsible for providing accurate and complete information so we can properly plan the trip.

3. Recurring Transportation

MedFL Transport may provide recurring transportation for services such as dialysis, rehabilitation, and regularly scheduled medical appointments.
Recurring transportation arrangements are subject to availability and should be confirmed with our transportation team. Changes to recurring schedules should be communicated as early as possible.

4. Pickup and Drop-Off

Passengers should be ready at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time. Our drivers will make reasonable efforts to arrive according to the confirmed schedule.
Pickup and drop-off locations must be reasonably accessible and safe for the passenger, driver, and vehicle.
For facility transportation, hospital discharge, or assisted living transportation, coordination with facility staff or caregivers may be required to complete the passenger handoff safely.

5. Wheelchair and Mobility Assistance

Passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility devices must provide accurate information about their equipment when booking.
Wheelchair-accessible transportation is subject to vehicle capacity and equipment limitations. Certain mobility devices or passenger conditions may require additional information before transportation can be confirmed.
Passengers must follow driver instructions regarding boarding, positioning, and securing mobility equipment.

6. Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers and accompanying caregivers are expected to:

  • Treat drivers and staff respectfully
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions
  • Provide accurate booking information
  • Remain appropriately secured during transportation
  • Notify MedFL Transport of changes to the trip as soon as possible
  • Ensure that required mobility or accessibility information is provided in advance

A caregiver or responsible adult may be required to accompany a passenger when appropriate based on the passenger’s needs.

7. Medical and Emergency Situations

MedFL Transport provides non-emergency transportation only.

Our drivers are not intended to provide emergency medical treatment or replace licensed emergency medical personnel. Passengers experiencing a medical emergency should contact 911 or appropriate emergency services rather than booking non-emergency transportation.

If a passenger’s condition appears unsafe for non-emergency transportation, MedFL Transport may decline or discontinue the trip for safety reasons.

8. Cancellations and Changes

We understand that medical appointments and healthcare schedules can change. Please notify MedFL Transport as soon as possible if you need to cancel, reschedule, or modify a transportation reservation.

Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or significant last-minute changes may affect future scheduling or may be subject to applicable cancellation fees.

Any applicable cancellation or waiting-time charges will be communicated according to our current service policies.

9. Waiting Time

Passengers and facilities should be prepared for pickup at the scheduled time. Additional waiting time may affect the transportation schedule and may result in additional charges where applicable.

For facility, hospital discharge, or appointment transportation, delays caused by the facility, healthcare provider, passenger, or caregiver may affect the scheduled return or subsequent trips.

10. Service Availability

Transportation is provided based on vehicle availability, driver availability, scheduling requirements, distance, passenger needs, and service-area limitations.

A transportation request is not considered confirmed until MedFL Transport has provided confirmation.

11. Long-Distance Transportation

Long-distance trips may require additional scheduling and advance coordination. Passengers or facilities should provide complete pickup, destination, appointment, mobility, and return-trip information when making a reservation.

Long-distance transportation availability may vary depending on distance, scheduling, vehicle availability, and operational requirements.

12. Service Delays

MedFL Transport makes reasonable efforts to maintain scheduled pickup and arrival times. However, transportation schedules may be affected by traffic, weather, road conditions, vehicle issues, facility delays, passenger delays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays when possible.

13. Prohibited Conduct

Passengers may not engage in behavior that creates a safety risk for themselves, other passengers, drivers, or the vehicle.

MedFL Transport reserves the right to refuse or discontinue transportation in situations involving:

  • Threatening or abusive behavior
  • Violence or harassment
  • Intoxication that creates a safety concern
  • Unsafe passenger conduct
  • Damage or attempted damage to the vehicle
  • Failure to follow reasonable safety instructions

14. Personal Belongings

Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings during transportation. MedFL Transport is not responsible for lost, damaged, or unattended personal items except where required by applicable law.

Passengers should take all personal belongings with them when leaving the vehicle.

15. Payments and Fees

Applicable transportation rates, service fees, waiting charges, cancellation fees, or other charges will be communicated during the booking process or according to the applicable service agreement.

Payment terms may vary depending on whether transportation is arranged by an individual, caregiver, healthcare facility, assisted living community, or other organization.

16. Website Information

Information provided on the MedFL Transport website is intended for general informational purposes. Service availability, pricing, transportation options, and operating hours may change without notice.

Submitting an online request does not necessarily guarantee transportation availability or constitute a confirmed reservation.

17. Privacy

MedFL Transport respects the privacy of passengers, caregivers, facilities, and website visitors. Information provided during the booking process may be used to coordinate transportation, communicate about reservations, provide customer service, process payments, and meet applicable operational or legal requirements.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MedFL Transport will not be responsible for delays, missed appointments, or other losses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, road closures, facility delays, passenger delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
